A quick look back over the previous academic year has brought the memories flooding back of some highlights that we failed to mark on the webpage. The pictures show the first years taking part in some bodhran classes. When the fine tuning was perfected, parents were invited in for a performance. Senior classes visited Poland and were very impressed by the Salt Mines. The third years took part in a debating competition and won. Other students took part in the Magic of Music initiative while the Rosmini running club took part in the Leinster Schools competition in Santry Stadium where Aaron Keogh came a close second in the 100m final. Towards the end of the year, we had our talent show and graduation ceremonies.
Rosmini is delighted to be involved in the DCU UniTY programme. UniTY is a skills based programme specifically aimed at Transition Year students. It has been designed to increase student engagement in education and raise motivation and career aspirations and broaden students' world view. The curriculum is made up of Multimedia & Social Innovation, Smart Skills, Employability & Leadership and Student Empowerment. Other classes benefit through Maths quizzes, "Junior Discover" pathways to third level, DCU "Summer Scholars" programme, rugby and soccer blitzes.
