Wellbeing Week - On Monday 6th March 2017, 6th year students participated in a Creatively Managing Stress Mindfulness Workshop. Students learned that effective management of stress is vital for our wellbeing. Taking time out for relaxation by doing what you love is an essential factor for coping with stress. Students were informed that creative activity can increase brain levels of serotonin, creating a physiological response of relaxation. To put into practice what they had learned about taking time out to relax and unwind by means of creative self-expression, students spent 15 minutes engaging in creative art exercises as well as games. They were led on a guided meditation in search of wisdom and truth.
