On Wednesday 1st March 2017, a group of 6th year students visited The Sanctuary, a meditation centre founded by Sister Stan. The purpose of this trip was to give students the opportunity to reflect on what they had learned during the programme, a 10 week course aimed at giving young people a taste of mindfulness. Students identified some of the mindfulness skills that they have been practising at home. They participated in a radio frequency meditation in the tranquil surroundings of the meditation garden. A peaceful retreat from the busyness of school life was had by all. A special thanks to Jen from the Ballymun School Completion Project and Mr Turbitt for all their work with students on this project.
