The first years today (13 November 2013) enjoyed a workshop on robotics presented by the DCU Physics department as part of Science Week. At the end of the session, robots designed by students participated in a grand battle.
Students learned about physics topics such as electricity, motors, movement and vibration. Students worked in teams of 2 or 3 and all found it a very enjoyable learning experience.
