TY went on a Trip to Google HQ on Friday 16th November. Google Ireland has opened a new hub at its Dublin base where engineers and researchers work on technology to help people with disabilities.
They visited the ‘Accessibility Discovery Centre’ where they saw examples of new technologies empowering people with disabilities via a series of interactive exhibits and gaming zones.
The also listened and learned from a presentation on Googles’ history of innovation and work on AI in Ireland and beyond. They spoke about the opportunites in learning Computer Science. One benefit is that it will make a postive impact to society and offers job opportunities around the world.
Thanks to Mr Darbey who organised the trip and to the SNA’s who helped out on the day.
