Some of our very lucky students took a trip across the road to visit the Lego Innovation Studio in DCU St Pat’s Campus to do a workshop. Students were taught about engineering design, manufacture, coding and testing all through Lego and Labview coding language.

Students used this opportunity to use their numeracy skills throughout the day, an initiative which we are actively working on in Rosmini in every subject area.

Our first year students are studying the new Junior cycle Engineering curriculum and the workshop was incredibly useful in teaching them all about Mechatronics, which is one of the three major strands of learning for this subject.

Students also got the opportunity to see what was involved for them in taking part in the First Lego League competition.
