Here are some photos of an  outdoor visit by our Leaving Certificate Art Class to the Annual ‘Sculpture in Context’ Exhibition  at the National Botanic Gardens. Our students enjoyed a very informative guided tour of the exhibition. They also got to see one of the rarest plants in the world the Woodcycad, which is now extinct in the wild.
Sixth years enjoyed sketching and photographing the works and learning about sculptural processes, methods and materials. They learned about popular themes represented in the works such as climate change, sustainability and one artists experience of lockdown. Great to get out and about again!
