TY students recently visited DCU as part of Science week 2023. The students visited a workshop titled ” Plastic Friend or Foe”. As part of the workshop students were shown how to make plastic out of potatoe starch. The plastic can be used to make objects which can have many practical applications. One example was to make Petri Dishes used in microbiology out of the plastic.
